Hello!
My name is Kelsey Hoover, and I am a designer with a background in fine art and film living in Logansport, Indiana.
I am currently working remotely as a senior designer for Solution Tree, a Professional Learning Community-based publishing company in Bloomington, Indiana. My typical daily projects include both cover design and interior text formatting, with an occasional magazine article design thrown in. I have been working at this company since 2019.
I started my design career at Shutterfly, customizing invitations and product orders such as Christmas ornaments, canvas prints, and photo books. Although I am from Ohio, I consider my true home to be in St. Petersburg, Florida. While living in Florida, I worked for advertising agencies such as Schifino Lee, and Rooks Advertising. I have experience in logo design, branding, print, email, and digital marketing campaign asset creation, as well as some website design. Finally, after a couple years of freelancing on my own, I landed where I am now at Solution Tree.
I have found my true love in publishing—cover design has been the most exciting and rewarding task I have set my hands to, and I love the minutiae involved in sprinkling in a few well-executed figures and illustrations throughout a text design. Now that I have some experience behind me, I am looking to expand my reach to fiction or art-themed publishers, in the hopes of aligning my background and expertise with the job that I enjoy so much.
